Webster case - Article 17 of FIFA Regulations
The ruling of CAS, the highest sports arbitration tribunal, has caused quite a stir. The Court ruled that Webster must pay GBP 150,000 for breaking his contract in his final year, while his former club, Heart of Midlothian had filed a claim for the amount of GBP 5 million.(read more)

The Spanish footballers’ association (AFE) has offered all the Spanish sporting bodies involved a Great Pact for Spanish Football to solve the problems that are currently plaguing this sector. NewsAccording to UEFA only 3 of its 53 members don’t have a domestic licensing system implemented. Nevertheless, there are still numerous players who don’t get paid. FIFPro has its doubts about the quality standards the national football associations are using to define licensing systems.
